Care of the Extremely Low Birth Weight Infant (ELBW) Class & Neonatal Supportive Simulation: 2-part session

This is a 2-part session class. The 1st part is didactic from 9am - 11am. The lecture will cover the following objectives:  Describe two evidence-based practices that your perinatal/neonatal areas can provide to women in preterm labor and/or ELBW infants Define the significance of golden hour Understand the unique physiologic needs of the ELBW infant, and measures to promote optimal outcomes The 2nd part of the class is an In-situ Neonatal Skills & Simulation from 12pm - 4pm.

This is an educational program for all providers to organize care from pre-transport through the post-resuscitation stabilization period. Participants will receive STABLE cards.
