Class Information
Drowning remains one of the leading causes of unexpected death in young children—and yet, with the right knowledge, preparation, and clinical response, many of these tragedies are preventable. This course brings together the latest science, real‑world case insights, and practical strategies to help clinicians, educators, and community partners strengthen pediatric water safety and improve outcomes for drowning victims.
Participants will explore the full drowning timeline—from pre‑event prevention to on‑scene response to post‑event clinical management—using a powerful case study and evidence‑based frameworks that illuminate what truly changes outcomes.
Course Objectives
By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Recognize early signs of drowning and the drowning chain of survival.
