Class Information
The purpose of this course is to provide an on overview of pediatric seizures with an emphasis on the stabilization of status epilepticus. In addition, the course will highlight a few neurologic conditions that are specific to the pediatric population such as: Febrile Seizures, Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizures, and Infantile Spams.
Objectives:
- Review seizure pathophysiology
- Discuss management of Status Epilepticus in children >1 month.
- Highlight Febrile Seizures, Psychogenic Nonepileptic Seizure (PNES) & Infantile Spasms (IS) diagnosis and treatment
