Class Information
Participants will:
- Identify the characteristics of the LPI that predispose them to higher morbidity and mortality
- Describe the unique ways LPI are physiologically and metabolically immature
- Explore nursing intervention strategies for care of the LPI
- Discuss systemic racism & implicit bias
- Identify how the NICU & OB population experience racial disparities & health inequities
- Describe ways to implement birth justice & health equity at the bedside
