Class Information
Participants will:
- Review the types of diabetes and the effects of pregnancy on each
- Review glycemic management during pregnancy
- Discuss intrapartum glycemic management techniques and targets prior to birth
- Outline postpartum glycemic monitoring and follow-up recommendations
- Identify impact maternal hyperglycemia has on a developing fetus
- Discuss short & long-term complications from maternal hyperglycemia
- Describe interventions for the hypoglycemic infant
