  • Compare the different types of sepsis with emphasis on treatment and pathophysiology
  • Discuss the importance of early recognition of the pediatric patient in sepsis and/or shock
  • Discuss the standards for PIV placement in the pediatric patient
  • Review ways to integrate methods from Child Life Services into peripheral and central access and management in pediatric patients
