This class is being offered in-person to the Petaluma Valley Staff ONLY and via Zoom to everyone else. 

 

  • Identify the characteristics of the LPI that predispose them to higher morbidity and mortality
  • Describe the unique ways LPI are physiologically and metabolically immature
  • Review respiratory assessment & the indications for various methods of respiratory support
  • Discuss the nursing care of infants on high flow nasal cannula, nasal CPAP and ventilator support
  • Practice hands-on ventilation techniques" (PVH staff only)
