Feeding the Preterm Infant
Speaker: Adrienne McIntyre RNC-NIC, MS, CNS
Upon completion of this program the participant will be able to:
- Identify readiness for oral feeding
- Establish a baseline with feeding (e.g oral sensorimotor skills and respiratory skills)
- Identify dysphagia and locus of infant dysphagia ( oral or pharyngeal)
- Identify when to engage infant in pre-feeding oral stimulation
Seizures in the Newborn

Upon completion of this program the participant will be able to:
- Identify characteristics of seizures in the neonate
- Differentiate seizure activity vs non seizure activity on the CFM and EEG
- Understand approaches to the management of seizures
Intracranial Hemorrhage in the Preterm and Full Term Infant

Upon completion of this program the participant will be able to:
- Describe the different types of intracranial hemorrhages (ICH)
- Recognize neurologic signs and symptoms of ICH
- Integrate nursing interventions to reduce risk of ICH in the preterm baby
