Class Information

The Fundamental Critical Care Support: Obstetrics (FCCS:OB) course is recommended for intensivist and nonintensivist healthcare professionals who may provide maternal/fetal critical care and for clinicians in obstetrics seeking critical care training.

This 2-day IN-Person course will cover the following objectives: 

• Assess physiologic changes of pregnancy differently.
• Apply new knowledge of maternal obstetric and medical conditions to diagnosis.
• Refine treatment regimens for certain maternal obstetric conditions.
• Apply new knowledge to performance of maternal CPR and airway management in the care of the critically ill pregnant patient.
• Apply appropriate steps for fetal assessment, delivery and neonatal management in practice
• More appropriately refer obstetric patients that may need expert consultation and/or transfer.
• Work more effectively with critical care and/or obstetric clinicians as a result of being more familiar with the other’s best practices and how to incorporate them.

CEU certificates will be provided within 72 hours after the course.
