Class Information

The goal of this class is to provide an extensive and thorough learning experience to better understand the respiratory system of the pediatric patient and hands on management. Techniques for managing these differences will discussed and explored.  The class can be taken online, but learners may benefit from a hybrid didactic and simulation (in-person) model.

Objectives

  • Discuss the four types of pediatric respiratory emergencies
  • Review specific case studies of each type of emergency and their management
  • Provide evidence-based guidelines and algorithms for management of these emergencies
