This class is free and intended only for the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula employees to attend.
Participants will:
- Describe intrauterine fetal physiology
- Discuss how perinatal findings present in the neonate
- Review case studies showing how perinatal events can be recognized as potentially ill neonates
- Describe the recent changes to delivery room management for the preterm infant
- Review respiratory assessment & the indications for various methods of respiratory support
- Discuss the nursing care of infants on high flow nasal cannula, nasal CPAP, and ventilator support
