The Advanced Fetal Monitoring course uses a case scenario to focus on the analysis of maternal-fetal physiology related to complex clinical information and fetal heart rate tracings. This class is in-person and only intended for CHOMP employees. 

Participants will: 

• Describe physiologic principles of maternal and fetal oxygen transfer as they apply to principles of fetal heart monitoring
• Recognize fetal cardiac arrhythmia patterns and describe potential outcomes associated with these patterns
• Apply perinatal risk management principles, communication techniques and documentation strategies to complex and challenging patient care scenarios
