Class Information
- Review respiratory assessment & the indications for various methods of respiratory support
- Discuss the nursing care of infants on high flow nasal cannula, nasal CPAP, and ventilator support
- Discuss history of pain management for neonates
- Recognize risks and long-term sequelae of undertreated pain
- Differentiate between acute, chronic, and procedural pain and appropriate methods of pain relief
- Identify two strategies for communicating with the bereaved family
- Perform Memento making with patient/family involvement when desired
